Pesta Keamatan / Harvest Festival

On 30 & 31 May 2009, the Kadazandusun and Murut people/ Sabah, Malaysia have been celebrating 'Pesta Keamatan' / Harvest Festival in their own unique way, paying homage to the rice spirits.

Kota Kinabalu Harvest Festival Carnival (May 14-16)
Statewide. The 3 days carnival will see the crowning of a new Harvest Beauty Queen (Unduk Ngadau) and a Sugandoi (singing) champion. There are various Sabah style cultural and singing performances, exhibition stalls. Call: 088-521800
